What is baby reflex™?

baby reflex™ is specially adapted reflexology for babies. As well as being a great way to help with the bonding process, many parents find baby reflex™ a useful drug-free alternative to help calm and relax their babies, improve their sleep patterns and ease discomfort.

Once learnt, the simple techniques can be used anywhere and at anytime, making it really practical. So if your baby starts crying in the supermarket, for example, baby reflex™ could gently calm her down and you can carry on shopping in peace.

How did it all begin?

Jenny Lee, MCSP MAR, who is both a chartered physiotherapist and a qualified reflexologist and teacher, has been working with mothers and young children for over 15 years. During this time, she carried out a number of pilot studies in conjunction with children's GPs, designed to examine the effects of reflexology on childhood asthma. Based on the results of these studies, Jenny decided to introduce a new form of reflexology specially designed for babies, called baby reflex™. baby reflex™ training for parents

With fully qualified baby reflex™ practitioners and teachers at Relax and Enjoy, we have taught many parents over the years and have seen for ourselves how much babies enjoy it. If you would like to learn baby reflex™ for your child, we offer one-to-one workshops with individual families, usually in their own home, teaching the techniques across two sessions. In the first session, which lasts two to three hours, you will find out how baby reflexology works and learn how to use it with your child. Then you will be given three to four weeks to familiarise yourself with the techniques and practice them with your child before your second, refresher session. This session is much shorter and designed to recap on technique and answer any further questions you may have.
