Indian head massage

Indian head massage Ealing, Hanwell, Greenford, Chiswick and Hammersmith

Indian head massage is an extremely effective therapy that eases tensions, improves the efficiency of the circulatory and lymphatic systems, disperses toxins and restores flexibility and fluidity of movement. It has evolved from traditional techniques practised in India for over a thousand years.

This form of massage works on particular areas of the body - especially the neck and shoulders, where stress affects major muscle groups. Indian head massage often brings immediate relief from tension, as fibrous knots and nodules melt away.

During treatment you will remain comfortably seated in an upright position while your therapist performs massage through your clothes to your upper back, shoulders, upper arms, neck, face and scalp. Your therapist will normally begin by deeply kneading and probing your neck and shoulder muscles. The treatment may feel similar to osteopathy at times, but without any crunching or cracking of joints.

As the therapist turns attention to your head, you will feel your scalp being gently squeezed, rubbed, tapped and prodded. Your hair will be briskly tussled and gently combed. The practitioner will work on various pressure points and will gently tug and press your ears, without causing you pain.

Lastly, the therapist will move to the face, working with acupressure points to help relieve any sinus pressure, stimulate the circulation and increase alertness. This final stage of Indian head massage is both subtle and deep, and will leave you feeling deeply relaxed and rejuvenated.

Thai foot massage

can bring huge benefits in internal health. It is applied to all parts of the lower legs, feet and hands. It involves hands-on stretching, massage and stimulation of reflex points, and follows the Thai energy lines, or ‘sen’. The massage incorporates elements of shiatsu, reflexology, Chinese massage and yoga, and is said to stimulate the activity of internal organs.

Healers in the ancient Orient discovered very early on the connection between the feet and other parts of the body. They used foot massage as a holistic treatment for the body, to relieve stress, promote restful sleep, increase circulation and improve the immune system, and to benefit the mind by increasing alertness and enhancing creativity.

Knowledge of foot massage in Thailand has been handed down by word of mouth across the generations. It is still taught by Buddhist monks in the temples of Thailand.

Today, Thai foot massage is becoming increasingly popular as a drugless therapy that creates a physiological change in the body by naturally restoring homeostasis. It will also relax you and make your feet feel wonderful!

Eastern facial massage

Eastern facial massage works on the neck, face and scalp to improve the appearance and health of your face, and to leave you feeling great. It gently stimulates the nervous system to increase blood and lymph circulation, reduce and prevent wrinkles, repair and balance the condition of the skin, and minimise the ageing process.

Eastern facial massage uses complementary techniques drawn from both Indian and Japanese face massage. It works specifically and precisely with the facial meridians and acupressure points to achieve a balance in the facial skin, muscles and organs. When properly administered, it improves facial appearance, removes toxins from the face and balances ki, or life force, to improve overall health.

Metamorphic technique

Metamorphic technique Ealing, Hanwell, Greenford, Chiswick and Hammersmith

Metamorphic technique is a tool for personal transformation. It empowers people to “get out of their own way”, to let go of past limitations, and to move forward in their lives. Change can occur on a number of levels: physical, mental, emotional and behavioural.

The technique is not a therapy or a treatment, as it does not address specific symptoms or problems. So your practitioner will not need to know about your personal or medical history - though you are free to talk about it if you wish.

People often find that metamorphic technique can help them to cope better in difficult or transitional times such as illness, bereavement or divorce, or when they are at a crossroads or stuck in a rut. Many people are drawn to the technique because it allows them to deal with emotional issues and make deep inner changes without having to discuss their problems or delve into their past.

Metamorphic technique is gentle, non-invasive and completely safe. It can be used on its own, or alongside conventional medicine or complementary therapies. Most people find their sessions very pleasant and relaxing.

You will spend the session either sitting or lying down, with your shoes and socks removed. Your practitioner will use a light touch on the spinal reflex points in your feet, hands and head.

A metamorphic technique practitioner will not make judgements, impose their will on you, or seek to direct your life force in any way. The technique simply creates an environment in which your life force is free to do whatever is needed. It will empower you to be your own healer.
